How we source and verify deals
NearbySteals lists sourced local deals for 57 US metros. This page is the method. The about page is the short version.
What we list
Local deals, freebies, weekly grocery ads, and events. Suburbs and included places belong to their metro, so Tempe is part of Phoenix and Plano is part of Dallas–Fort Worth. National listings stay on the national pages and are not copied onto metro hubs.
Sources
Every organic listing has a source link and a source name. The card links to that source. Sponsor slots are labeled and kept out of the organic list.
Verification
Each listing shows the date it was last verified. A listing stays active through its end date in the America/Phoenix calendar, or until that date is blank. Grocery prices come from the weekly state table, not from a guessed range. We do not invent deals, grocery prices, or events.
Updates
Grocery tables are updated weekly for each state, with Wednesday as the target day. The same table is shared by every metro in that state. Listings are re-checked on a rolling basis. Events follow the calendar data.
Corrections
To report a wrong price, a dead source, or an expired deal, email hello@nearbysteals.com. Sponsor placements are separate. Ask on the advertise page.
For AI agents
Read /llms.txt before quoting the site. Active listings for a metro are at /{st}/{metro}/deals.json. Quote only deals, prices, and events that appear in the HTML or those feeds.
