This is free. When: Saturdays and Sundays, ferries before 11 a.m.; island open daily. Where: Battery Maritime Building, 10 South St., New York, NY 10004 (and Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 101).

All passengers ride the Governors Island ferry free on weekend mornings before 11 a.m.; at other times the round trip is $5 for adults, and seniors, children, NYCHA residents, IDNYC holders and current or former service members always ride free.
